Critics Choice Movie Awards, ktoré sa odovzdáavali 15. januára, nepriniesli žiadne väčšie prekvapenia. Ceny si odniesli v podstate tie najvychvaľovanejšie filmy roku na čele s Birdman a Boyhood. Na suchu neostal, na rozdiel od tohtoročných nominácií na Oscarov, ani LEGO príbeh, ktorý si odniesol cenu za najlepší animovaný film roku. Ocenenia ponúkajú i kategórie najlepší akčný film, sci-fi či horor a sú podobne ako Zlaté glóbusy takou predzvesťou, čo môžeme čakať od Oscarov.
