Dnes ráno boli oficiálne ohlásené nominácie na tohto ročných Oscarov. Pomocou live streamu ste to mohli sledovať aj z úst Chrisa Pinea, J.J. Abramsa a Alfonsa Cuaróna. Samotná show sa bude konať 22.2.2015 a tohtoročný hostiteľ bude veterán predávaní cien Neil Patrick Harris.
Nomináciam vedie Birdman Alejandra G. Iñárritu a The Grand Budapest Hotel Wesa Andersona s deviatimi nomináciami. Za nimi následuje The Imitation Game Mordena Tylduma s ôsmimi a American Sniper Clinta Eastwooda a Boyhood Richarda Linklatera so šiestimi nomináciami. Tieto filmy dopĺňajú v kategórii o najlepší film aj Whiplash, Selma a The Theory of Everything. Za predpokladu, že by bolo v kategórii o najlepší film deväť nominovaných ako posledné tri roky, a nie osem, pravdepodobne by v tejto kategórii zabojoval aj Foxcatcher.
Dalo by sa diskutovať o tom, čo chýba a čoho je tu moc. Mohli by sme nadávať, že Gone Girl nenájdeme ani v jednej kategórii okrem najlepšej herečky a že Lego Movie bolo vytlačené z kategórie o najlepší animovaný film. Lenže nadávať na Academy Awards je už starý vtip.
